CES 2021 day 2 | Intel Ice Lake, Evo vPro Platform & AMD Ryzen 5000 series

CES 2021 is going crazy, with new announcements, press conferences, keynotes, etc. The second day at CES 2021 has already done and there are a lot of announcements by these two biggest CPU manufacturers Intel & AMD. Starting with Intel Ice Lake, Intel Evo vPro platform to AMD 5000 series processors & many more.

Intel @ CES 2021

Intel held its event yesterday, and it is the most high profile announcements at CES 2021. Intel announced the 11th generation Intel Core S-series desktop chips (Rocket Lake S) and its next-generation processors (dubbed Alder Lake).

Vice President of Intel, Stephanie Hallford, introduced the best Intel platform for the businesses, the Intel vPro platform which is powered by 11th generation Intel processors. The platform is fully based on three fundamental pillars, one is Security, according to Intel “Intel vPro is the one world’s most comprehensive hardware-based security available for businesses today.” Another one is Manageability, which refers to the use of this platform at the business’s own ease. And the last one is Performance, we have already seen what the 11th generation’s processors are capable to do.

One funny part for me is in the News Conference Vice President of Intel, Stephanie Hallford compared an AMD device & an Intel device side by side.

General Manager at Intel, Caitlin Anderson announced two new generations of Intel processors, Intel Pentium Silver, & Intel Celeron. These are actually mid-range processors that are easily accessible by students. Good Job Intel.

2 Family of new processors

11th Gen Intel Core H-Series

These processors are for thin & light gaming laptops. The Laptops will be powered by NVIDIA GTX GPUs along with the 11th Gen Intel Core H-Processors. The clock speed is now higher and will be up to 5.0GHz with the 4K gaming experience along with 8-cores.

11th Gen Intel Core S-Series

These processors are for hardcore PC gaming. Packed with a lot of features including Gaming capabilities These processors give you the maxed-out performance of 11th Gen Intel CPUs.

Alder-Lake Processors

The next-Gen Intel CPUs are codenamed the Alder-Lake. With high-performance cores & efficiency cores in a single chip. This will be introduced in the second half of 2021 & it will be amazing.

And AMD partners with every possible laptop company to give maxed out experience from their new range of chips.

Check out CES 2021 day 1

Conclusion

Both companies are doing great & in some cases, Intel leads, and in some cases, AMD processors do better than Intel, both are good companies, hoping more from these two. I will be covering most of the big companies during CES 2021, stay tuned for that. Thanks for Reading
